They are the coolest! : ) Not cheap too, about $15 per issue. I looked into the editor and art design team. It is a huge team! No wonder it cost a lot... but for this kind of quality, I think it is a plus gain! I think it worth every penny. While disappointing about the US magazines, sincerely myself really hope there is a day that we can have this kind of quality mag. in our market.
I am a biologist grew up with a fishing rod in my hands. I have been fortunate enough to embrace my love of art and science in my career. Most of my free time were well spent in the nature, either studying bird behavior or chasing variety of fish with fly rods. My favorite art medium is watercolors, I love the natural and spontaneous feel created by watercolor pigments. I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard University. Welcome to my website. Mark

Mark,
I totally agree. My local Barnes & Noble carries Fly Fishing and Fly Tying (British) and FlyLife (Australian) magazines, both very nice publications.
Internet has created much bigger "stage" for ff audience in the USA. US magazines... well, we can only hope...
Vlad! well said!
I am jealous you have access to those high quality magazine! While still new to Boston, I really need to check out my local bookstore soon. : )
