The concept is definitely very good...the looks are different, that's true. It reminds me of the Maniform handle for single handed rods, which helps people with repetitive motion injuries.

Hi Vlad,

Maniform? I never heard about it...thanks for the information I will check it out...

I like the underhand spey cast a lot(Göran Andersson), it's transfer energy more efficient IMO and the cast is really elegant. I thought this Zpey handle would be a good concept, although the handle really not a good looking thing : P. Maybe I will get one when I get old and rich (they are so expensive $1280 for one rod! can you believe that... : )

No doubt, the underhand style is beautiful-and very popular in Scandinavia. Unfortunately, the looks of ergonomic handles are not too attractive. They are built with function in mind, not elegance... I think the future of flyfishing is going in that direction-function (performance) over the form...

After use the Sage TCR Spey and my homemade Lami figerglass two hander, it make me firmly believe that there are something special in the fiberglass two handed rod... Still waiting for the longer fiberlgass blank though... Vlad, if I get one of these long blank, you will be the (only) candidate to build that ultimate spey rod! : )
