SUWA LAKE JAPAN

A friend of mine just sent this photo to me. It's lot's of snow in Japan this year. Amazing! I visit this lake in the early summmer 2007. And it was a big body of water full of trout! I guess now the trout are happily swim underneath the ice and never need to worry about dry fly, nymph fly, streamer...whatsoever... : ) Indeed, it is hard for Alabamian to imagine a frozen lake... : P

A very nice picture... Is this from Hokkaido? My good friends from Japan told me that Hokkaido is cold like Minnesota. Really, it looks like some lakes around here (but without mountains.)

Hi Vald,
I bet you have many lakes like this now! This is from Nagano, in central Japan... it is a mountainous and beautiful country. Many Swans from the north wintering here.

嘿 我去過這個湖兩次
旁邊有一座溫泉會館還是設計咱們總統府的建築師蓋的
因為他們家在長野有一個小木屋
所以每年多少都會去長野渡假幾天
是一個很悠閒的地方哩
