Coastal birding trip!

Just got back from a birding trip to Gulf Mexico. It was a fabulous birding trip with students! Lot's lot's of shorebirds, out of my head there were cute little least sandpipers, tons of dunlings, semipaml sandpipers, sanderlings, willet, oystercatchers... birds of the day would be a handsome swallowtail kite! All my good ol birding memories start to crawing back! Great to go out indeed!

Any new birds on this trip? I miss my weekend birding trips in college.

Hi Cameron,

Not really any new birds in this trip... but there are a lot of numbers... I feel "birdy",a Great trip! The swallow-tailed Kite is really amazing... we did not hit "the warbler fall"...so not much songbirds... But the weather was so nice... beers and night sea wind on the beach...
