Indeed! The switch rod is awesome tool for shooting. I haven't use them in the surf yet, but I heard they are pretty good in fishing shooting head line.
BTW, I really do think the finese of fiberglass material will just add another bonus for the spey cast... I am still waiting for my Mcfarland 7wt blank to me...should be a nice one! ;); 5:02 PM
