not really...Marcus, unlike last year...see many fisherman "hatch"... crowded... I think people are getting ready for the white bass run... bait and lure...But I do have fun in casting. I had some white bass and spotted bass action though...Well... a big tug also.. but sp. Unknow... met a very good lure fisherman, he got some big crapies!
BTW, pinky works better in clear water under sunny condition. Other time I use heavy zonkers.
Awesome fly Mark! This kind of fly would be great as rag worm imitation in estuaries and other coastal areas. I used more red and tan/brown color to imitate worms, but I think I would like to try Pinky next time.
This is a light fly but imitate a lot of different things. I like them because they are easy to tie and easy to fish. I think the worm idea is pretty cool. I will try to fish them like a worm next time. And maybe tie some heavier pinky.
I am a biologist grew up with a fishing rod in my hands. I have been fortunate enough to embrace my love of art and science in my career. Most of my free time were well spent in the nature, either studying bird behavior or chasing variety of fish with fly rods. My favorite art medium is watercolors, I love the natural and spontaneous feel created by watercolor pigments. I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard University. Welcome to my website. Mark

I tried swinging a pinky in the Sipsy earlier this week. Nothing shaking...
Are you getting any action down your way?
